I've reviewed the agreement and wanted to discuss Section [X] regarding payment terms. The current language makes payment contingent on your receipt of payment from the Owner, which creates significant cash flow uncertainty for our team.

I understand the need to manage cash flow, but I'd like to propose a modification that protects both parties:

**Proposed Language:**
"Subcontractor shall be paid within thirty (30) days after Contractor receives payment from Owner, or within forty-five (45) days of Subcontractor's approved invoice, whichever occurs first. Contractor's receipt of payment from Owner shall not be a condition precedent to Subcontractor's right to payment."

This is consistent with AIA A401-2017 and ensures we can maintain the resources needed to deliver quality work on your schedule.
